SWIMJoanna Ezinga:
Joanna Ezinga, owner of Ezinga Fitness, is a USAT Level II Coach, USA
Cycling Level 2 coach, and certified personal trainer. She
specializes in short course and middle distance triathlon coaching for
those new to multi-sport racing. In addition to private coaching,
each spring she offers a women's only group training program.
Give It a Tri: Triathlon Training for Women has a 12 week
beginner program and a 16 week intermediate program for women
traithletes.
Joanna holds a Masters
in Educational Psychology and a certificate in Physical Fitness.
She has been an active triathlete for the past seventeen years
and is a frequent age group winner.
Mark Snowise, MD
Mark
is a local Family Medicine physician who is also fellowship trained in
Primary Care Sports Medicine. He has worked with athletes of all
levels and abilities, helping them deal with various injuries and
develop
proper taining programs in order to prevent further injuries.
Mark will be completing his USAT Level I coaching certificate
this April. Mark's sports medicine experience enables him to
incorporate very specific fitness testing into his medical
practice. Athletes will be able to undergo an array of tests to
accurately determine VO2max and lactate thresholds in order to better
customize training plans.
Mark has
raced all distances of triahtlons but his main focus is on half and
full ironman distances. He has been highly competitive at the
half ironman distance and completed his first Ironman this past
September, falling just shy of qualifying for Hawaii.
